Atelier Shemi, Kabri

Collaboration with a fellow-artist, Paz Sher. Individually invited to show at the atelier of the deceased artist Yehel Shemi, we chose to work as one for this show by incorporating our past artworks, Shemi’s artworks and his studio equipment as the materials for our interventions in the gallery space. As we merged and inter-connected our own works, using them as build blocks and raw material, it seemed only natural to also use his as such, as they surrounded us, with his presence so commanding.
We did not label the works or divide credit in any way between us. It was important for us to present the installation for what it was: the fruit of mutual thought, intention and toil.
